The methodology used will vary between projects, but close involvement with the client is consistent in each case.

 The process is also flexible to reflect the needs and available resources of clients. In Strategy Development and Implementation projects, the following flow may be used.

Market Research             

 This stage involves the identification and assessment of all market, operations and environmental factors impacting upon the business.  Interviews of key personnel, and analyses of corporate documents and available internal and external market information are integral. Qualitative and Quantitative methodologies, including executive interviews and surveys are used to derive an understanding of the market attitudes and behaviours and the drivers of them.

Workshop                           

The strategic issues and recommendations from the research are presented and discussed in a structured session with the client. This allows input from the client prior to the development of the Business and Marketing Plans.  This process also identifies other information required prior to the completion of plans.

 

Planning  

Formal Business and Marketing Plans are prepared incorporating the endorsed recommendations. As the workshop has identified the major factors impacting on the planning, the plans are therefore now highly actionable, with specific timetables and responsibilities being established.

 

Implementation & Facilitation

 Strategies are implemented by the most cost efficient means to achieve the business objectives.

 Where clients have existing staff resources, Springboard Marketing can facilitate the completion of the projects and programs through the direction and support of these personnel.

Rod Donaldson has extensive experience in market research, senior sales and marketing management, and management consulting.  His corporate marketing management experience with a number of major Australian and multinational corporations covers both consumer and industrial markets including food, household products, chemicals, professional services, pharmaceuticals, retailing and hospitality.

Rod’s consulting experience has covered both marketing and business strategy and has completed projects in a diverse range of industries for both large and small companies.  His consulting experience has covered ad hoc projects and longer term contractual assignments. He  has wide experience in the design and management of qualitative and quantitative market research projects across a large number of B2B and B2C product and service categories.
